BACKGROUND: The City of Columbus, Department of Development, Land Redevelopment Division owns one (1) parcel of real property that the Department of Public Service, Division of Design and Construction needs for project 531012-100000 Roadway Improvements - Medina Ave from Hudson to Briarwood to construct a permanent Best Management Practice to meet storm water treatment requirements and reimburse the Land Redevelopment Division. The Department of Public Utilities, Division of Sewerage and Drainage will assume responsibility for the maintenance of this property after construction is complete.

FISCAL IMPACT: The Department of Public Service, Division of Design and Construction will pay the Department of Development, Land Redevelopment Division a total of $2,270.00 for the one parcel.
EMERGENCY JUSTIFICATION: Emergency Legislation is requested to expedite the transfer in order to reduce Land Bank maintenance costs.

To authorize the Director of the Department of Development to transfer the control and maintenance responsibilities of one parcel of real property (010-074595, 1338 Republic Ave., Reimbursement $2,270.00) held in the Land Redevelopment Division, Land Bank Program from the Department of Development to the Department of Public Utilities, Division of Sewerage and Drainage to facilitate the project 531012-100000 Roadway Improvements - Medina Ave from Hudson to Briarwood; and to declare an emergency.
