Title: To authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew Universal Term Contracts for the option to purchase Auto Body Repair Services with Dick Masheter Ford Inc., Keens Body Shop Inc. and A-Tec Auto Body LLC.
Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew existing Universal Term Contracts (UTCs) for the option to obtain Auto Body Repair Services with Dick Masheter Ford Inc., Keens Body Shop Inc., and A-Tec Auto Body LLC. This contract provides for Automotive, Medium Duty, Heavy Duty, and Equipment Body Repair Services used by the Division of Fleet Management to repair City vehicles.

The following contracts were established in accordance with Request for Quotation RFQ008991 and authorized under Ordinance Number 1590-2018 and will expire June 30, 2020. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Dick Masheter Ford Inc., Keens Body Shop Inc., and A-Tec Auto Body LLC can renew the contracts for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contract expiration date will be June 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contracts. The Department of Finance and Management, Division of Fleet Management, must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into Universal Term Contracts for Auto Body Repair Services for use by the Division of Fleet Management; and

WHEREAS, these contracts were entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to solicitation RFQ008991 with The Listed Vendors deemed the lowest, most responsive, responsible and best bidders, and
