Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget reservations resulting from this ordinance with the following Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements listed below for Lawn Mowing Services and Weed and Vegetation Management for the Department of Public Utilities.

The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
FISCAL IMPACT: $598,355.88 is budgeted and needed for this purchase. This ordinance is contingent on the passage of the 2020 operating budget, Ordinance 2926-2019.

Title
To authorize the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for Lawn Mowing Services and Weed and Vegetation Management for the Division of Water and the Division of Sewerage and Drainage; and to authorize the expenditure of $228,355.88 from the Water Operating Fund and $370,000.00 from the Sewerage Operating Fund. ($598,355.88)

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office has established Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for Lawn Mowing Services and Weed and Vegetation Management; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Utilities to authorize the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for Lawn Mowing Services and Weed and Vegetation Management; thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now, therefore,
