Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to modify past, present and future contracts and purchase orders with Arrow International as the company has undergone an acquisition. This ordinance authorizes the assignment of all past, present and future business done by the City of Columbus from Arrow International Tax ID# 23-1969991 to Teleflex LLC Tax ID# 83-1629418.
No additional funds are necessary to modify the option contract(s) as requested. There is no change in the type of products being procured and the original contract was formally bid. The original terms and conditions remain in effect.
EMERGENCY DESIGNATION: The Finance and Management Department respectfully requests this legislation be considered an emergency in order to update the company name change in accordance with good accounting practices.
FISCAL IMPACT: No additional funding is required to modify the option contract. The Division of Fire must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

To authorize the Finance and Management Director to modify past, present and future contract(s) and purchase orders from Arrow International to Teleflex LLC; and to declare an emergency.
Body
WHEREAS, the Finance and Management Department, Purchasing Office has an option contract and open purchase orders for EZ-IO Needle Sets for use by the Division of Fire; and
WHEREAS, Arrow International has been purchased by Teleflex LLC, and in addition to notifying the City, Teleflex LLC has agreed to honor the past, present and future contracts and agreements; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Finance and Management in that it is immediately necessary to modify all contracts and purchase orders established and in process with Arrow International to Teleflex LLC, thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now, therefore
