Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to obtain Refuse Collection Containers with Rehrig Pacific Co. This contract provides for residential 95 and 64 gallon roll out refuse containers citywide for the Division of Refuse Collection.
The contract, PO077480 was established in accordance with Request for Quotation RFQ004845 and authorized under Ordinance Number 1819-2017 and will expire June 30, 2020. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Rehrig Pacific Co. can renew the contract for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper city authorities. The new contract expiration date will be June 30, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Department of Public Service must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Refuse Containers for use by the Division of Refuse Collection; and
WHEREAS, this contract was entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to solicitation RFQ004845, with Rehrig Pacific Co., who was deemed the lowest, most responsive, responsible and best bidder; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Rehrig Pacific Co. can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities; and
