Title: To authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew two (2) Universal Term Contracts for the option to purchase Firefighter Protective Gloves with Phoenix Safety Outfitters, LLC and The Fire House.
Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew two (2) existing Universal Term Contracts (UTC) for the option to obtain Firefighter Protective Gloves with Phoenix Safety Outfitters, LLC and The Fire House for use by firefighters within the Division of Fire.

The contracts, PO039915 and PO039990 were established in accordance with Request for Quotation RFQ002874 and authorized under Ordinance Number 2739-2016 and renewed under authority of Ordinance 1890-2019 and will expire 9/30/2020. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Phoenix Safety Outfitters, LLC and The Fire House can renew the contract for two one year terms subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. This is the second of the two renewal periods. The new contract expiration date will be September 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Department of Public Safety must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into two (2) Universal Term Contracts for Firefighter Protective Gloves for use by Division of Fire; and

WHEREAS, these contracts were entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to solicitation RFQ002874 with Phoenix Safety Outfitters, LLC and The Fire House, deemed the lowest, most responsive, responsible and best bidders, and

WHEREAS, in accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Phoenix Safety Outfitters, LLC and The Fire House can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities; and
