Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to obtain Lincoln & Rotary Lift with Leswego. This contract provides for Lincoln & Rotary Lift parts and services for the Division of Fleet Management.
The contract, PO084938 was established in accordance with Sole Source provisions and authorized under Ordinance Number 1897-2017 and will expire 10/31/2020. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Leswego can renew the contract for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contract expiration date will be 10/31/2021.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Division of Fleet Management must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Lincoln & Rotary Lift for use by the Division of Fleet Management; and
WHEREAS, this contract was entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to the Sole Source provisions with Leswego, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Leswego can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Division of Fleet Management to authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew a Universal Term Contract with Leswego for the option to obtain Lincoln & Rotary Lift; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
