Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to obtain Versalift Parts and Services with Utility Truck Equipment, Inc. This contract provides for Versalift Parts and Services used by the Division of Fleet Management to repair City aerial lift vehicles.
The contract, PO085104 was authorized under Ordinance Number 1897-2017 and will expire October 31, 2020. In accordance with the contract terms, the City and Utility Truck Equipment, Inc. can renew the contract for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contract expiration date will be October 31, 2021.
EMERGENCY DESIGNATION: The Finance and Management Department respectfully requests this legislation be considered an emergency measure as the current contract expires on October 31, 2020.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Department of Finance and Management, Division of Fleet Management, must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Versalift Parts and Services for use by the Division of Fleet Management; and
WHEREAS, this contract was entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to the Sole Source provisions, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the contract, the City and Utility Truck Equipment, Inc. can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities; and,
