Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to obtain Anti-Icing Equipment with Bell Equipment. This contract provides for Anti-Icing and Deicing Equipment for the Division of Infrastructure Management.
The contract, PO088807 was established in accordance with solicitation RFQ004782 and authorized under Ordinance Number 2516-2017 and will expire 12/30/2020. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Bell Equipment can renew the contract for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contract expiration date will be 12/30/2021.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Division of Infrastructure Management must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Anti-Icing Equipment for use by the Division of Infrastructure Management; and
WHEREAS, this contract was entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to the solicitation RFQ004782 bid specifications with Bell Equipment, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the bid specifications, the City and Bell Equipment can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Service to authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew a Universal Term Contract with Bell Equipment for the option to obtain Anti-Icing and Deicing Equipment; now, therefore
