Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into professional services contracts with E.P. Ferris & Associates, Inc. in the amount of up to $500,000.00 for the Signals - General Engineering 2020 project.
The intent of this project is to provide the City of Columbus, Department of Public Service, continuing contractual access to additional resources that are necessary to perform traffic signal facilities design and associated tasks.
The Department of Public Service, Office of Support Services, solicited Requests for Proposals for the Signals - General Engineering 2020 contract. The project was formally advertised on the Vendor Services and Bonfire web sites from September 2, 2020, to September 28, 2020. The City received four (4) responses. All proposals were deemed responsive and were fully evaluated when the Evaluation Committee met on December 9, 2020. The responding firms were:
