To Honor, Recognize and Celebrate the Life of Rosie Fowler

WHEREAS, Rosie Fowler was born on June 22nd, 1944 in Wills Point, Texas and passed away on March 30th, 2021; and
WHEREAS, after high school, Rosie met James Alberson at North Texas State University and later the two married and were blessed with two beautiful children, Demitrice "Gigi" and James, Jr. "Jimmy;" and
WHEREAS, after relocating to Ohio, Rosie joined Mount Herman Baptist Church and earned multiple degrees in business administration while raising her family and helping to lead the church; and
WHEREAS, Rosie later met and married Reverend Dr. Shedrick Fowler in 1985 and humbly served as first lady of Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church since 1992; and
WHEREAS, She worked tirelessly with the Women's Fellowship Ministry, Matrons, Christian drama productions while, in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, Bible Study, but most of all loving her family; and
WHEREAS, most importantly, Rosie was a loving, caring sister, daughter, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby honor, recognize and celebrate the life of Rosie Fowler and extends our sincerest condolences to her family and friends.
