Title: To amend Ordinance No. 0892-2021, passed April 5, 2021, to correct the organization name in that Ordinance to reflect the correct information for that entity.

Explanation

BACKGROUND:  This legislation authorizes an amendment to Ordinance No. 0892-2021, due to the incorrect organization name listed in the ordinance. 

 

The vendor name listed in Ordinance No. 0892-2021 is “Alvis 180” when it should have been “Alvis, Inc.”

 

The legislation must be amended to allow execution of a valid contract with the organization.

 

CONTRACT COMPLIANCE:  the vendor number is 004275 and contract compliance expires 12/15/2022.

 

Title

To amend Ordinance No. 0892-2021, passed April 5, 2021, to correct the organization name in that Ordinance to reflect the correct information for that entity.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 0892-2021, passed April 5, 2021, authorized the Director of Development to enter into a grant agreement with Alvis 180 in support of the Help in Reentry Employment Program; and

 

WHEREAS, at the time of agreement execution, it was discovered that the organization was incorrect in the ordinance; and

 

WHEREAS, the correct vendor name is Alvis, Inc.; and

 

WHEREAS, the organization information on Ordinance No. 0892-2021 must be corrected, in order to allow for execution of a valid contract with the organization; now, therefore,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

 

SECTION 1.  That Section 1. of Ordinance No. 0892-2021, passed April 5, 2021, be amended to read as follows:  "Section 1.  That the Director of the Department of Development is hereby authorized to enter into a grant agreement in an amount up to $250,000.00 with Alvis, Inc. in support of the Help in Recovery Employment Program.”

 

SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
