Title: To amend Ordinance 1159-2021, passed May 17, 2021, related to the conveyance of title for 956 Reeb Ave. held in the Land Bank, to amend the selling price from $45,000.00 to $40,000.00; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation
BACKGROUND: Ordinance 1159-2021, passed May 17, 2021, authorized the Director of the Department of Development to transfer one parcel of real property held in the Land Bank and located at 956 Reeb Ave. (010-115838) to Nosky Investments LLC, for the sum of $45,000.00 plus a $195.00 processing fee. The need exists to amend the selling price, originally $45,000, to $40,000.

Emergency action is requested so the transfer of the property can be made without further delay.

FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required by this legislation.

WHEREAS, on May 17, 2021, Columbus City Council passed Ordinance 1159-2021 authorizing the Director of the Department of Development to transfer one parcel of real property held in the Land Bank and located at 956 Reeb Ave. (010-115838) to Nosky Investments LLC, for the sum of $45,000.00 plus a $195.00 processing fee; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Selling price from $45,000 to $40,000; and

WHEREAS, no funding is required for this amendment; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Development in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the amendment to Ordinance 1159-2021 so the transfer of the property can be made without further delay, all for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; now, therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 1159-2021, passed May 17, 2021, is hereby amended to read as follows:

That the Director of the Department of Development is hereby authorized to execute any and all necessary agreements and deeds to convey title to the following parcel of real estate to Nosky Investments LLC:
