Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into contract with G&G Concrete Construction, LLC for the CelebrateOne Sidewalk - Near South (Deshler from 18th Street to Lockbourne Avenue) and Operation Sidewalks - Celebrate1 Sidewalk - Near South (Kossuth - Carpenter to Linwood) projects and to provide payment for construction, construction administration and inspection services.
This contract includes constructing a sidewalk on the south side of Deshler Avenue from 18th Street to Lockbourne Road and constructing a sidewalk on the south side of Kossuth Street from Carpenter Street to Linwood Avenue. Additionally, the construction of curb, sidewalk, curb ramps and other work as may be necessary to complete the contract in accordance with the plans and specifications set forth in the Bid Submittal Documents will be included.
The estimated Notice to Proceed date is October 4, 2021. The project was let by the Office of Support Services through Vendor Services and Bid Express. Six bids were received on August 12, 2021, (all majority) and tabulated as follows:
