To Celebrate the Dedication of the Newly Expanded Hilltop Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library and to Recognize their Contributions to the City of Columbus.

WHEREAS, the Columbus Metropolitan Library has served the people of Columbus since 1837 as a vital community asset and celebrates their grand-reopening of their newly renovated and expanded Hilltop Branch which will allow them to create an essential hub that reflects the unique needs of the neighborhood is serves; and
WHEREAS, Columbus Metropolitan Library’s building and expansion program is the result of a community-wide process that will continue to serve the needs of the City of Columbus and its surrounding areas; and
WHEREAS, the new Hilltop Branch building represents a significant investment in the community - with a larger School Help Center, a new Ready for Kindergarten area, a larger children’s area, individual and community meeting rooms and much more; and
WHEREAS, Columbus Metropolitan Library dedicates its resources in each branch location to bridge the digital divide in the communities it serves; and
WHEREAS, Columbus Metropolitan Library continues to grow as an invaluable resource for the Hilltop neighborhood and the City of Columbus; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby celebrate the dedication for the newly expanded Hilltop Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library recognize their contributions to the City of Columbus.
