Explanation
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this ordinance is to repeal Resolution 0107X-2021. On June 28, 2021 the City passed Resolution 0107X-2021 declaring the necessity and intent to appropriate real estate in conjunction with the Department of Public Service’s Roadway Improvements - Little Turtle Way Project (Project Number 531002-10000). The Department of Public Service has determined that the real estate is no longer required to complete the project and is now requesting that the resolution be repealed.
EMERGENCY DESIGNATION
Emergency action is requested to repeal resolution 0107X-2021 since the real estate is no longer needed to complete the project.

WHEREAS, on June 28, 2021 the City passed Resolution 0107X-2021 declaring the necessity and intent to appropriate real estate in conjunction with the Department of Public Service’s Roadway Improvements - Little Turtle Way Project; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service has determined that the real estate is no longer required to complete the project and is now requesting that Resolution 0107X-2021 be repealed; and now, therefore
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Service in that it is immediately necessary to repeal resolution 0107X-2021 since the real estate is no longer needed to complete the project, thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Resolution 0107X-2021 is hereby repealed.
