Explanation
This ordinance amends the Fire Management Compensation Plan, Ordinance 2714-2013, as amended, by removing language from the comprehensive major medical portion of the health insurance section; and to modify or update language in the vision portion of the health insurance section.
Emergency action is recommended in order to begin implementation.
Title
To amend the Fire Management Compensation Plan, Ordinance 2714-2013, as amended, by removing, updating, or otherwise modifying language in the health insurance section; and to declare an emergency.
Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Fire Management Compensation Plan by amending Section 9(B) to repeal language regarding TMJ or TMD; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Fire Management Compensation Plan by amending Section 9(F) to modify or update language with regard to vision coverage; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Human Resources in that it is immediately necessary to amend certain provisions of the Fire Management Compensation Plan in order to allow for immediate implementation thereby preserving the public peace, property, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
