WHEREAS, the Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families of hospitalized children in Columbus, Ohio; and

WHEREAS, the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus, Ohio opened its doors to families on March 17, 1982; and

WHEREAS, the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus, Ohio has served over 1,000,000 families since opening; and

WHEREAS, the Ronald McDonald House is breaking ground on a major expansion of the facility on March 23, 2022; and

WHEREAS, the Ronald McDonald House is celebrating the 40^th Anniversary of serving families from all over the world at the local Ronald McDonald House; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby recognize, and congratulates Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio on its 40^th Anniversary and the Ground Breaking of the expansion of the Ronald McDonald House.
