To Commemorate the Twelfth Pastoral Anniversary of Reverend Derrick Bass and his wife Minister Jacquilla Bass

WHEREAS, Reverend Derrick Bass is a dedicated member of the church, received his license to preach in 2004, and has served as a pastor at three different churches in Central Ohio; and
WHEREAS, Minister Jacquilla Roberta Bass, wife of Reverend Derrick Bass, started preaching ministry in 2011 as a licensed Preacher of Gospel; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Bass is the Founder and Pastor of Serenity Baptist Church and currently serves as First Vice President of the Eastern Union Missionary Baptist Association (EUMBA) Ministers, Deacons and Trustees Institute; and
WHEREAS, This year, 2022, Reverend Derrick Bass and Minister Jacquilla Roberta Bass celebrate their twelfth pastoral anniversary at Serenity Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, They dedicate their professional lives to developing others’ relationship with God via programming, such as women’s ministry and Vacation Bible School; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That Columbus City Council hereby celebrates the twelfth pastoral anniversary of Pastor Derrick Bass and Minister Jacquilla Bass as they have dedicated their lives to developing individuals’ spiritual journeys with Christ at the Serenity Baptist Church.
