Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into professional services contracts with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. in an amount of up to $500,000.00 for the Intersection - Greenlawn Avenue - Thurman Avenue at High Street project.
The intent of this project is to provide the City of Columbus, Department of Public Service, additional resources for the design improvements to the intersection of Greenlawn Avenue - Thurman Avenue at High Street. Via a prior study, the conceptual configuration of the improvements has been determined. The recommended long term countermeasure within the study is intended for advancement with this design.
The Department of Public Service, Office of Support Services, solicited Requests for Proposals for the Intersection - Greenlawn Avenue - Thurman Avenue at High Street contract. The project was formally advertised on the Vendor Services and Bonfire web sites from August 17, 2022, to September 14, 2022. The City received two (2) responses. A proposal from Dynotec, Inc. was deemed non-responsive due to their not meeting all required ODOT pre-qualification categories. The remaining proposal was deemed responsive and was fully evaluated when the Evaluation Committee met on September 22, 2022. The responding firms were:
