Title: To authorize the Director of Finance and Management to extend a contract on behalf of the Office of Construction Management with R.W. Setterlin Building Company for Construction Services - Task Order Basis.

Explanation

 

This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to extend a contract, on behalf of the Office of Construction Management, with R.W. Setterlin for Construction Services - Task Order Basis contract.

 

The Office of Construction Management solicited requests for proposal in December 2018, and R.W. Setterlin received the highest score by the evaluation committee. The original contract was awarded to R.W. Setterlin and authorized by Ordinance No. 0782-2019 which was approved by City Council on April 2, 2019. An extension of the contract is necessary to provide funding for small-scale renovation projects and emergency projects for City facilities that may include electrical, plumbing, concrete/asphalt replacement, roof renovations, HVAC replacement, fire suppression systems, and window and door installation.

 

This renewal will extend the contract to April 2024.

Title

 

To authorize the Director of Finance and Management to extend a contract on behalf of the Office of Construction Management with R.W. Setterlin Building Company for Construction Services - Task Order Basis.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Finance and Management Department, Office of Construction Management desires to extend a contract for small-scale renovation projects for City facilities with R.W.Setterlin Contract; and

 

WHEREAS, there is no cost associated with the extension; and

WHEREAS, the original contract was authorized by Ordinance No. 0782-2019 and approved by City Council on April 2, 2019; and

WHEREAS, these services include but are not limited to small-scale renovation projects for City facilities that may include electrical, plumbing, concrete/asphalt replacement, roof renovations, HVAC replacement, fire suppression systems, and window/door installation; and,

WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Finance and Management, Office of Construction Management, to authorize the Director of Finance and Management to extend the contract with R.W. Setterlin Building Company for construction services so that upgrades or renovations can be implemented as soon as possible; now, therefore.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

SECTION 1. That the Finance and Management Director is hereby authorized to extend the contract, on behalf of the Office of Construction Management, with R.W. Setterlin Building Company for small-scale Construction Services. There is no cost associated with this renewal.

SECTION 2. That the monies in the foregoing sections shall be paid upon order of the Director of Finance and Management, and that no order shall be drawn or money paid except by voucher, the form of which shall be approved by the City Auditor.

SECTION 3.  That the funds necessary to carry out the purpose of this ordinance are hereby deemed appropriated, and the City Auditor shall establish such accounting codes as necessary.

 

SECTION 4.  That the City Auditor is authorized to make any accounting changes to revise the funding source for all contracts or contract modifications associated with this ordinance.

 

SECTION 5That the City Auditor is hereby authorized to transfer the unencumbered balance in a project account to the unallocated balance account within the same fund upon receipt of certification by the Director of the Department administering said project that the project has been completed and the monies are no longer required for said project.

 

SECTION 6.  That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
