Explanation
BACKGROUND
This legislation authorizes the Director of Recreation & Parks to appropriate funding from the Neighborhood Economic Development fund to support the production of artwork for Feddersen Recreation Center.

Feddersen Recreation Center is undergoing renovations of their basketball court and a mural will be commissioned for the surface of the court. The Department of Development has agreed to let the Department of Recreation and Parks appropriate $15,000.00 from the Neighborhood Economic Development fund to aid with this effort.

FISCAL IMPACT: Funding is available in the Neighborhood Economic Development fund (2237).

Body
WHEREAS, Feddersen Recreation Center is undergoing renovations of their basketball court and a mural will be commissioned for the surface of the court; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Development has agreed to let the Department of Recreation and Parks appropriate $15,000.00 from the Neighborhood Economic Development fund to aid with this effort; and

WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operations of the Department of Recreation and Parks to authorize the Director to appropriate these funds; NOW THEREFORE,


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:


SECTION 1. That from the unappropriated monies and from all monies estimated to come into said fund from any and all sources and unappropriated for any other purpose during the fiscal year ended December 31, 2022, the sum of $15,000.00 is appropriated in Fund 2237 (Neighborhood Economic Development Fund), Dept-Div 51-01 (Recreation & Parks), in object class 03 (Services) per the account codes in the attachment to this ordinance.
