Title: To authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew the Universal Term Contracts for the option to purchase Maintenance Service Repairs and Renovations with 2K General Company and Elford, Inc.
Explanation

BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew two existing Universal Term Contracts (UTCs) for the option to obtain General Maintenance Service Repairs and Renovations with 2K General Company and Elford, Inc. These contracts provide for general maintenance service, repairs and renovations by the Facilities Management Division and other divisions not serviced by the in-house staff of the Facilities Management Division.

The contracts, PO266882 with 2K General Company and PO266879 with Elford, Inc. were established in accordance with Request for Quotation RFQ016830 and authorized under Ordinance Number 0624-2021 and will expire July 31, 2023. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and 2K General Company and Elford, Inc. can renew the contracts for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contract expiration date will be July 31, 2024. The extension language was included in the contract but was inadvertently omitted from Ordinance Number 0624-2021 when it was submitted.

FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Maintenance Service Repairs and Renovations for use by the Facilities Management Division and other divisions not serviced by the in-house staff of the Facilities Management Division; and

WHEREAS, these contracts were entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to solicitation RFQ016830 with 2K General Company and Elford, Inc., deemed the lowest, most responsive, responsible and best bidders, and
