Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of the Department of Public Service to enter into a professional services contract with True Inspection Services, LLC in the amount of up to $500,000.00 for the Roadway - Materials Testing and Inspection 2025-1 contract.
The intent of the Request for Proposal was to provide the City of Columbus, Department of Public Service, with additional resources for the continuing, contractual access to construction inspection services and materials testing for City of Columbus projects. The contract may also be used for non-City projects for which the City is providing construction inspection services and materials testing.
The Department of Public Service, Office of Support Services, solicited Requests for Proposals for the Roadway - Materials Testing and Inspection 2025-1 contract. The project was formally advertised on the Vendor Services and Bonfire websites February 12, 2025, to March 12, 2025. The city received eight (8) responses. All proposals were deemed responsive and were fully evaluated when the Evaluation Committee met on March 20, 2025. The following responses evaluated were from:
