Explanation
1. Background
The Department of Public Service, Division of Infrastructure Management recently received a request from Faith Tabernacle Church Life Restoration Center to rename the roadway currently known as Delbert Road, from the south right-of-way line of Twenty Third Avenue to the south terminus of Delbert Road, and to be renamed to “Pastor Charles H Rogers Sr. Way”.
The aforementioned request will allow the abutting property owner(s) to honor the late Pastor Charles H Rogers Sr. The proposed name, “Pastor Charles H Rogers Sr. Way”, conforms to the Division’s current street naming policies and has been reserved until such time that this request has been completed, or denied. The Division of Infrastructure Management has circulated concurrent notification to the City agencies without objection. Faith Tabernacle Church Life Restoration Center has satisfactorily completed all of the requirements for renaming of a city street and has agreed to pay associated cost for removing existing street name signs and installing new signs reflecting said street name at the required location of Pastor Charles H Rogers Sr. Way. A value of $1,950.00 for replacing street name poles and signs was established.
2. Fiscal Impact
The City will receive a total of $1,950.00, to be deposited in Fund 7748, Project P537650, for replacing street name poles and signs.
