To acknowledge and congratulate the Graduate students of the Ohio State University City and Regional Planning, Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture for their two-year completion of the City of Columbus/Ohio State University Internship Program in June 2005.
Body
WHEREAS, The city has a contract with the OSU School of City & Regional Planning to have 12 students enrolled in the Masters Program work in various divisions within the Department of Development. They work 720 hours per year (20-25 hrs weekly); and
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus utilizes students enrolled in the Graduate Program to assist with projects that include research, planning, mapping, program development and other activities designed to enhance the quality of life in Columbus neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, the City works closely with Area Commissions, Civic Associations and other neighborhood organizations to promote, improve and maintain service to citizens; and
WHEREAS, these students have completed a two-year assignment with the Department of Development that included activities designed to enhance the ability of local organizations to strengthen neighborhoods; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize and congratulate our Student Interns on their graduation from the Masters Program at the Ohio State University, School of City and Regional Planning and for their successful work and completion of the OSU-City Intern Program.
