WHEREAS, this family reunion has been held annually since 1973, hosted by family members in cities throughout the United States, and
WHEREAS, the earliest recorded event for our family was the birth of Silla in 1813 in Haywood County Tennessee, and
WHEREAS, a family website is maintained on the internet. The Short-Austin family contains 1,104 family members, and
WHEREAS, surnames of family members residing in Columbus are: Short, Boyce, Bowman, Weatherspoon, and Henderson; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize the Short-Austin Family Reunion held from July 13 through July 15, 2007.
