To recognize the contributions of Glory Foods Inc. to the Columbus community and to congratulate Ms. Jacqueline Neal on her recent appointment as Glory Foods first female President.

WHEREAS, Glory Foods, Inc., founded and based out of Columbus, Ohio, manufactures and distributes a comprehensive line of traditional Southern food products to grocery stores nationwide, and
WHEREAS, in 2006, Glory Foods answered the community's call to combine health and convenience by launching a new line of products with 50 percent lower sodium levels, and
WHEREAS, Glory Foods has actively pursued its interests in food preparation through scholarships to minorities at The Ohio State University and through several other initiatives and programs around the country, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Jacqueline Neal, Glory Foods' first female President, is a committed leader dedicated to food excellence and to giving back to the community that has made Glory Foods a national leader in the Southern-style, heat-and-serve market, and
WHEREAS, prior to joining Glory Foods, Jacqueline Neal was a part of a number of Fortune 100 companies such as M&M/Mars, Quaker Oats, Heinz, Nabisco, and Kraft. As President of Glory Foods, Jacqueline Neal oversees every aspect of the business, including the expansion of products into new markets and the development and launch of new product lines; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize Glory Foods Inc. for the contribution it has made to the Columbus community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Council does hereby congratulate Ms. Jacqueline Neal on her recent appointment as the first female President of Glory Foods.
