Title
To recognize Rochelle Dennis Twining Interim Executive Director for the Columbus Franklin County Community Action Agency.
Body
WHEREAS, Rochelle Dennis Twining has been involved with Community Action Agency Network for 14 years and served as the Executive Director for the Lima Allen Council on Community Affairs for 12 years and as a statewide trainer and consultant for the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Twining served as the interim Executive Director for the Columbus Franklin County Community Action Agency from April 1, 2007 - January 1, 2008; and
WHEREAS, during the transition Ms. Twining provided leadership to establish the infrastructure for the Columbus Franklin County Community Action Agency by establishing agency by-laws, finance and personnel policies, employee job descriptions, health care and retirement plan; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Twining worked diligently with the Agency Board of Trustees, The Ohio Department of Development and many other Community Leaders and organizations to ensure that low income residents in Columbus and Franklin County would have continued access to programs and services; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Twining continued to serve an additional 3 months to ensure a smooth transition with the agency Executive Director and to assist with program development; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That Rochelle Dennis Twining be honored and recognized for her commitment to the residents of Columbus and Franklin County and for serving as an advocate for the employees and clients served by the Columbus Franklin County Community Action Agency.
