WHEREAS, Alla Baba Temple #53 is a non-profit Masonic Fraternal organization located on the Eastside of Columbus, centered around the ideals of community service and charity. The organization offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the community.

WHEREAS, Alla Baba Temple #53 was founded over 50 years ago and chartered under the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine, of North and South America and Its Jurisdictions, Inc.

WHEREAS, Alla Baba Temple #53 Illustrious Potentate Noble Rico J. Singleton is an accomplished Information Technology professional serving in previous capacities as the Chief Information Officer for the Ohio Treasurer of State, Special Assistant/Advisor to the State of Ohio Chief Information Officer and currently serving as the Deputy State Chief Information for New York State; and

WHEREAS, Singleton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University in Columbus and a Masters of Information Systems Management and Masters of Business Administration both from Keller Graduate School of Management in Columbus. He also holds certifications as a Project Management Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Database Professional; and

WHEREAS, Singleton has been a very active part of the Columbus community serving in various leadership capacities. He is a graduate of Leadership Columbus, past Board member of the Godman Guild and past Young Executive Board member of the Columbus Capital Club. He is a past Commissioner on the Ohio Commission of African American Males, past Graduate Chapter Vice President and Regional Director of Collegiate Affairs of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
