To Honor Shonn Tucker for Being Named Boys and Girls Club of Central Ohio’s 2023 Youth of the Year
Body
WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of Central Ohio annually recognizes one member who exemplifies the organization's values including leadership, service, academic achievement, and a commitment to personal growth; and
WHEREAS, the Youth of the Year award is the most prestigious award given by the Boys and Girls Club of Central Ohio; and
WHEREAS, Shonn Tucker, a student at Whetstone High School, was named the 2023 Youth of the Year awardee in recognition of his hard work, dedication, and commitment to servant leadership and volunteerism in our community; and
WHEREAS, Shonn is actively involved in the Boys and Girls Club, his local church, and volunteer organizations in the special needs community; and
WHEREAS, as part of his recognition, Shonn will receive scholarships to fund his post-secondary education, where he hopes to study finance and launch a non-profit to continue serving members of the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is proud to honor and celebrate our youth and wishes Shonn the best of luck in his studies and all future endeavors and thanks him for his work in our community; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council honors Shonn Tucker for being named Boys and Girls Club of Central Ohio’s 2023 Youth of the Year.
