To recognize and celebrate the week of June 5 - June 9, 2023 as the forty fifth annual observance of Leadership Week in Columbus by the National Management Association and its Columbus Public Service Chapter.

WHEREAS, June 5 - June 9, 2023 is the forty fifth annual observance of Leadership Week in America by National Management Association, the largest non-profit organization of its type, a professional organization dedicated to leadership, business excellence, personal and professional growth, and fellowship to more than 7,500 members; and
WHEREAS, the city of Columbus recognizes the importance of the exchange of ideas and discussion of leadership challenges to bring about solutions for the vitality of the community’s economy and quality of life through increased productivity, competition, and growth; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Columbus Public Service Chapter of the National Management Association strive to uphold the principles of the organization through a commitment to lifelong learning, leadership development, skills training, networking, mentorship, and community service to support the City of Columbus; and
WHEREAS, the international observance of Leadership Week will encourage managers to increase their competence, inspire peers, and foster a better understanding of leadership and professional best practices through forums such as the National Management Association’s annual conference, monthly meetings, professional development seminars, and classes that promote management as a viable and thriving profession; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby recognize the week of June 5 - June 9, 2023 as the National Management Association’s Leadership Week in Columbus and the contributions of its Columbus Public Service Chapter.
