Explanation
This ordinance authorizes and directs the Director of the Department of Human Resources to extend a contract with The Bridgefield Group for executive coaching services. This ordinance represents an extension of the current contract through December 31, 2024. No additional funding is required.
The initial contract with The Bridgefield Group was authorized under ordinance 0945-2023. The current contract expires March 31, 2024. It is necessary to extend the contract as the scheduling demands placed on top level city leaders, coupled with changes in several leadership positions, made the accomplishment of this service in the initial timeframe unforeseeable. The Bridgefield Group is best equipped to complete the contract deliverables as the project is in process.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No additional funding is necessary.
Emergency action is requested to extend the current contract so The Bridgefield Group can continue to work on their contract deliverables.

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Columbus to continue to contract with The Bridgefield Group to provide executive coaching services through December 31, 2024; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to modify the contract and to extend it through December 31, 2024 so The Bridgefield Group can complete the contract deliverables; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Human Resources in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the Director to modify and extend the existing contract with The Bridgefield Group from March 31, 2024 to December 31, 2024 to ensure continuity of services, and in particular to ensure contract deliverables are completed, with no additional funding necessary, all for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, property, s...
