Explanation

This ordinance amends previously adopted ordinance 0666-2024, by increasing the authorized expenditure to a maximum of $50,000.00. This amendment is necessary to correct a drafting error in the original ordinance.

 

Fiscal Impact: Funding is available with the appropriation previously established by ordinance 0666-2024.

 

Emergency action is necessary in order to establish a contract with the vendor authorized under 0666-2024.

 

Title

To amend previously passed ordinance 0666-2024 by increasing the maximum expenditure; and to declare an emergency. ($50,000.00)

 

Body

WHEREAS, there is a need to amend previously passed ordinance 0666-2024 because of a drafting error in the original ordinance; and

 

WHEREAS, there is an emergency in the usual daily business of the office of the City Clerk in that it is immediately necessary to amend ordinance 0666-2024 to allow for an increase in the maximum expenditure in time to provide the authorized services; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

 

SECTION 1. That Section 3 of ordinance 0666-2024 shall be amended as follows:

 

SECTION 3. That per the action authorized in Section 2 of this ordinance, the expenditure of $35,964.00 $50,000.00, or so much thereof as is needed, is hereby authorized in the Neighborhood Initiatives subfund per the accounting codes in the amended attachment to this ordinance.

 

SECTION 2. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
