The following resolution was approved at the March 19, 2024 Columbus Board of Health meeting.
To amend Chapter 237 of the Columbus City Health Code in regard to Recreation Campgrounds, Recreational Vehicle Parks, Combined Park Camps, and Resident Camps (i.e., Camps), law and rules.
WHEREAS, the staff of Columbus Public Health has traditionally provided licenses and conducted health and safety inspections for all Camps within the City of Columbus; and,
WHEREAS, the staff of Columbus Public Health has completed the license fee cost analysis calculations required by Ohio Revised Code §3709.09; and Ohio Administrative Code §3701-26-03; and,
WHEREAS, the staff of Columbus Public Health recommend the following Camp license category fees to recover current costs of the program; and,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF HEALTH OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Section 237.02 of the Columbus City Health Code be amended to read as follows:
FEES
The license fee for a Recreational Vehicle Park, Recreation Camp or Combined Park-Camp shall be an annual fee equivalent to the amount which is required to be transmitted to the State of Ohio for each license issued, as per Chapters 3701-26 of the Ohio Administrative Code, plus the following license fee:
License Fee Type City Fee
Recreational vehicle parks, recreation camps, or combined park-camps with fifty or fewer sites $90.00
Recreational vehicle parks, recreation camps, or combined park-camps with more than 50 sites $90.00 + $1.75 per each individual site in excess of fifty
Temporary Park Camps $60.00 per event + $1.75 per each individual site in excess of fifty
