Explanation
BACKGROUND:
The Division of Income Tax has previously contracted with PointPlus Personnel, Inc. for the purpose of providing certain temporary staffing service related to the processing of income tax remittances. The temporary staffing is specifically dedicated to the preparation, scanning and verification of tax documents.
The original contract EL015464 through March 24, 2015, in the amount of $70,000.00 has been utilized. At this time, the Division of Income Tax is requesting additional funds of $51,000.00 for the remaining term of the contract. The new maximum obligation for temporary staffing services provided by PointPlus Personnel, Inc. shall not exceed $121,000.00. The PointPlus Personnel, Inc. contract compliance number is 272060588-001, expiration March 21, 2016.
Emergency action is being requested to allow the financial documents to be imaged in the Division of Income Tax’s Workflow application as soon as possible and to allow for uninterrupted taxpayer service. Up to date financial posting promotes accurate accounting and financial management.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funds for this modification and increase are included in the Division of Income Tax budget for 2014 in the amount of $51,000.00.
