Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to establish a Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to purchase Sewer Management Vehicle Equipment Parts and Services with Best Equipment Company, Inc. The Division of Fleet Management is the primary user for Sewer Management Equipment Parts and Services. Vac-Con and Envirosight Parts and Services are used to repair City vehicles. Best Equipment Company, Inc. is the sole source for these parts and services as they are the only local distributor and authorized service provider for these specific manufacturers. The term of the proposed option contract would be approximately two (2) years, expiring May 31, 2022, with the option to renew for one (1) additional year. In addition, the expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO001107.

Total Estimated Annual Expenditure: $80,000.00, Division of Fleet Management, the primary user
The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
FISCAL IMPACT: The expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO001107.
