Title: To authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew a Universal Term Contract for the option to purchase Horton Emergency Vehicle Parts and Services with Halcore Group, Inc., dba Horton Emergency Vehicles Company; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation

BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to obtain Horton Emergency Vehicle Parts and Services with Halcore Group, Inc. dba Horton Emergency Vehicles Company. This contract provides for Horton Emergency Vehicle Parts and Services used by the Division of Fleet Management to repair City emergency vehicles.

The contract, PO087587 was authorized under Ordinance Number 2453-2017 and will expire October 31, 2020. In accordance with the contract terms, the City and Halcore Group, Inc. dba Horton Emergency Vehicles Company can renew the contract for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities. The new contract expiration date will be October 31, 2021.

EMERGENCY DESIGNATION: The Finance and Management Department respectfully requests this legislation be considered an emergency measure to insure there is no interruption of goods/services provided.

FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contract. The Department of Finance and Management, Division of Fleet Management, must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.
