Title: To authorize and direct the Recreation and Parks Department Director to modify the current revenue contracts with Ruthfield Enterprises LLC, food concessionaire at Airport Golf Course; Vittorio Investments, Inc, food concessionaire at Mentel Memorial Golf Course; DONN Hospitality LLC, food concessionaire at Raymond Memorial Golf Course; and Lill’s Concessions LLC, food concessionaire at Turnberry Golf Course; and to authorize the full eight (8) year term of each contract.
Explanation
Background: This legislation shall authorize the Director of Recreation and Parks to modify existing revenue contracts with four vendors providing concession services at Columbus Recreation and Parks operated golf courses; and shall approve the full eight (8) year term of each contract.
Concession Services are a key component to our Golf Courses. They attract new and existing customers, enhance the golf course experience by providing food and beverages for the customers, and generates revenue for the department to supplement day to day operations.
The four contracts to be modified and approved are the following:
1. Ruthfield Enterprises LLC for the provision of concession services at Airport Golf Course.
2. Vittorio Investments, Inc for the provision of concession services at Mentel Memorial Golf Course
3. DONN Hospitality LLC for the provision of concession services at Raymond Memorial Golf Course
4. Lill’s Concessions LLC for the provision of concession services at Turnberry Memorial Golf Course
These are revenue generating contracts for the Golf Division. In compliance with City Code 913.02 (B)(3)(d)(2) the four original contracts were approved by the Recreation and Parks Commission on December 12, 2023 as two (2) year agreements with an option to renew for three (3) additional 2-year terms.
This legislation shall authorize the modification of the contract term language on all four contracts to add in specific dates, clarify the renewal option and total length of contract, and shall approve the three (3) optional 2-year renewals for a maximum contract term of eight (8) years.
In compliance with City Code 329.09(a) regarding contract modifications there are no additional funds to be expended under the modifications as these are revenue generating contracts, there is no need for additional goods or services under the modifications and it would not be in the City’s...
